Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious CDL Driver to transport construction debris and waste materials from job sites to designated dumping locations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely pickups, safe transportation, and proper disposal while maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CDL-class vehicles (dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar) to transport construction debris.
- Pick up waste materials from construction sites and deliver them to approved landfill or dumpster facilities.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip and post-trip) to ensure safety and compliance.
- Secure loads properly to prevent spillage during transport.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and disposal records.
- Communicate with site supervisors and dispatch regarding schedules and job progress.
- Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned vehicle.
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or delays immediately.
- Assist with loading/unloading if required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A or B (depending on equipment used).
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Minimum 1–2 years of commercial driving experience (construction or hauling preferred).
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to operate roll-off systems or dump trucks (preferred).
- Physically able to handle moderate labor (lifting, climbing, securing loads).
- Strong time management and communication skills.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor construction sites and landfill environments.
- Exposure to dust, debris, noise, and varying weather conditions.
- Early mornings, long hours, and possible weekend work depending on project needs.
Compensation & Schedule:
- Full-time position (40+ hours per week).
